ATHENS Workshop 2013 – Main Sponsor Spotlight – Format Hitech & Rod Clark talking about all things B&W Long Exposure Architecture
What do you need in order to shoot LE Architecture, besides a camera and a lens? Of course, a good ND filer.
Formatt Hitech, our main sponsors for the Athens Workshop are kind enough not only to offer to one of the participants a complete Joel Tjintjelaar Signature Edition long exposure Kit, in value of more than USD 500 and comprising a set of ProStop IRND filters, the best ND filters I’ve worked with so far, but also to answer to a few questions that reflect what our students might want to know about long exposure, ND filters, fine art architecture, best quality and also give them a few very good shooting tips.
Thank you, Rod, for taking the time to create this video and answer in such a clear and comprehensive way to all the questions. One of the highlights:
“How the idea of a Joel Tjintjelaar LE Kit was born?” Watch the video to find out!
Small Trivia: We initially intended to shoot this video during the workshop I did in Chicago a few weeks ago with Vision Explorers, but due to the very intense rhythm of the workshop, we couldn’t find the time to do it. So, you won’t see Rod among the skyscrapers this time, but I promise next time we’ll do a on location video, with demo and the rest. Speaking of which, I might show you something along these lines sometime soon. How about that, Rod?
A Description of the Joel Tjintjelaar Signature Edition Filter Kit
The ProStop IRND Long Exposure Kit, Joel Tjintjelaar Signature Edition contains three densities of ProStop IRND (3, 6 and 10 stops) and is designed to allow photographers to easily shoot exposures of 5 minutes and longer. The ProStop IRND has been called the most neutral dark ND in the world. The neutrality comes from the perfectly even reduction of light from all spectrums including visible light and infrared. ProStop IRND stops the infrared contamination that causes digital artifacts, meaning that your RAW images are more suitable for the heavy post production required in creating fine art images. The ProStop IRND also stacks beautifully with other filters.
This kit includes the following items:
– ProStop IRND 10
– ProStop IRND 6
– ProStop IRND 3
Exclusive Joel Tjintjelaar long exposure technique booklet
